Annotation

Foshan Jingwu Yuekan was a monthly magazine published by Foshan’s Chin Woo Athletic Association for its members. It recorded matters relevant to the club, such as photographs from events, minutes of meetings and how to make donations. It also promoted the ethos of Chin Woo: wisdom, benevolence, and courage. Contents included transcripts of speeches, reviews, fiction, poetry, essays and photography. Its ‘Resources for Martial Arts’ column was devoted to the teaching of martial arts. Voting tickets attached to each issue allowed readers to select their favourite speech or article, with the winners announced in the following issue.
